Anantara operate two separate brands on three islands sharing the same stunning lagoon. The Anantara resort offers 5-star luxury across two islands at affordable rates. Accommodation is in either luxury beachside or over-water bungalows that are spacious and private – all with outdoor bathrooms. The over water spa facility is superb and guests can dine at three restaurants including Thai, Grill and Italian.Naladhu (Anantara’s alternative) is the Maldives first 6-star resort. The ocean view villas are expansive with private swimming pool and a huge surf-side sun-deck. Every villa incorporates the services of a personal butler who is a touch phone away. Guests can move between islands at any time (small boat) to enjoy the restaurants and facilities at either of the Anantara islands. Naladhu island however is private and for in-house guests only.
The resort is a 35 minute speedboat ride Southward from Male airport.

Both a long peeling right suited to longboarders and a short, fast left break off the Anantara islands. Other waves of exceptional quality can be reached by boat within 20 minutes. Riptides is a fun right peak. Kandooma offers one of the Maldives’ best right-hand tubes and Boatyards is one of the best lefts in the country once the swell gets up.
The surf in this region tends to be smaller than North Male. However the waves are definitely less crowded and can often be enjoyed with nobody out. Best time to visit for surf is April to October when the surf is bigger, with July to October being prime season. The Anantara surf experience will suit those seeking small to medium-sized quality waves without crowds.

My husband and I are beyond lucky to have found Tropicsurf as they arranged for us the most memorable two weeks of our lives; we simply could not have dreamed of a more perfect Honeymoon. Thanks to Tropicsurf, we chose to stay at Anantara and the accommodations were simply ideal; from the amazing water bungalow, fantastic food, superb staff and breathtaking beaches, we were overwhelmed with how magnificent everything was. The only question remaining is whether we will be back for our three, five, or three and five year anniversaries! Thank you for making our honeymoon so special, we treasure the memories. Kym also went above and beyond in helping us deal with the remaining week of our Honeymoon as we unfortunately chose Chaaya Island at Dhonveli as our next stop. Kym did all that he could to rescue our Honeymoon and because of him we were able to transfer to one of the most beautiful resorts we have ever visited. We have stayed at several Four Seasons, but Kuda Huraa managed to have us completely breathless. Everything was perfect, the surf, our room, the staff, the restaurants, and the sheer beauty of the island. Kym, Naveez and Amy are the definition of professional and caring. Ryan and I have been on several surf vacations around the world and we have never worked with guys who are more dedicated to customer service, more knowledgeable and passionate about their work, and such pleasures to be with. They were simply fantastic. We are already thinking about next years big vacation - which is undoubtedly be with Tropicsurf! Kym, Navi and Amy made a beautiful honeymoon into an unforgettable one; I just can not rave about them enough. Being that my husband and I work on Wall Street we often get asked about great places to escape to - and I will certainly be raving about Tropicsurf for years to come.
