My Most Popular Blog Posts and Countries in 2025

This photo is actually somewhat accurate. I drink a lot of coffee while writing my newsletter for you.

Before I get into my most popular and least popular blog posts this year, a quick reminder! I have A LOT of travel content on my website. I try to use real trip requests as the basis of a lot of my posts. (If you have a question about something, chances are other people do to!) I tag each post with different categories so if you are curious about a destination, you can search my most popular categories here.

I Take Newsletter Requests!

I also take requests for my newsletter so if there’s something you’d like me to write about, just let me know! Some examples of requests I turned into newsletters in 2025 include this post on Paris & Normandy, this post on women-only tours, this post on mountain vacations, and this post on wellness vacations.

2025’s Most Popular Newsletters

2025’s Hottest Travel Destinations: The travel industry calls the first few months of the year “wave season” for a reason. Everyone has resolutions to travel more. My first few blog posts each year usually have super high open rates.

You’ve Never Cruised Like This: 12 New Cruise Launches to Watch: I made a concerted effort to remind people that I sell cruises in 2025 and everyone really loved this post. Don’t forget — I sell cruises!

My Most Popular and Least Popular Travel Blogs in 2024: This was one of my first few blog posts in 2025. I’ve done this post for a few years now and people seem to love it!

What I Learned from Organizing 20+ Client Trips to Italy Last Year: Italy is my best-selling country so it’s not surprising that Italy content tends to do well.

15 Insider Tips for Travel in 2025: Another “start of 2025 post” that did well. This is still worth a read today!

Back from France and My Active Avalon River Cruise: My Avalon “Active Discovery” river cruise was a real eye opener this year. I loved it!! It helped that we were in port with Viking nearly every day and I could make some comparisons.

Hotels Upgrade My Clients All the Time. You Could be Next. Here’s How! Everyone loves the idea of an upgrade!

2025’s Least Popular Newsletters

Italy, Alaska Japan, Costa Rica & More: Don’t Get Left Out: I suppose no one likes to be told what to do. I wrote this post because of the number of requests I was getting over Thanksgiving for last minute travel to some of the most crowded and popular destinations. Plan ahead if you can.

The Trip I Still Can’t Stop Talking About (Egypt!): Egypt was my #5 seller this year. I love Egypt so much. The light on the Nile is incredible. If seeing the pyramids is on your bucket list, let me make this easy and seamless for you.

Why Your Next Long Weekend Should Be This Destination: This was an experimental title. I read all these “how to get more people to open your newsletters” reports and they say to be mysterious with your title. Well, no one wanted to read this. It was too mysterious! It’s about Lima, Peru.

Lake Como. Italy was my #1 seller again in 2025.

Top 15 Countries Sold in 2025

In 2025, I sold travel to 59 countries and 19 states. Beyond the US, here were my top selling countries in 2025:

  1. Italy: In 2026, I’m hoping to convince travelers to break out of the Rome/Florence/Venice mold but hey, these cities never get boring for me so I get it.

  2. Switzerland: Swiss trains never get boring for me. One of my best travel memories is reading Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris on a Swiss train.

  3. Germany: I sold a lot of Germany this year — people just love Oktoberfest! Did you know I've been to Oktoberfest twice? Maybe 2026 is the year I return.

  4. Ecuador: If you love nature and wild life, put a Galapagos cruise on your bucket list.

  5. Egypt: Can I convince you to go to Egypt in 2026? I think everyone needs to take a Nile cruise.

  6. Mexico: I made a concerted effort to sell more inland Mexico this year than Cancun and Cabo and it worked.

  7. Austria: Did you know I spent a year living in Innsbruck, Austria when I was in college? I was a German major too! Everyone loves Vienna & Salzburg. I do a lot of Munich/Salzburg/Vienna trips.

  8. Hungary: Budapest is just such an amazing city. Hoping I can convince clients to explore further afield in Hungary in 2026.

  9. France: Paris, Paris, and more Paris! I wish Americans had more vacation time as there is so much more to discover in this delightful country.

  10. Slovakia: This was helped by some Danube river cruise sales. many of which stop in Bratislava.

  11. UK: London was my home for over 11 years so it’s no surprise that I sell a lot of the UK.

  12. South Africa: In 2023, I started telling clients it was time to book safaris for 2025. A lot of the properties I work with are small so it’s important to book ahead! My resolution? I’m going to write more about safaris and Africa in general in 2026.

  13. Costa Rica: For your best shot at the best properties in Costa Rica, I really recommend booking a year in advance. Also something to know…driving in Costa Rica is no joke — the roads are not great. I can put together an amazing multi-center holiday that gives you a bit of beach and a bit of rainforest and volcano. With drivers in between!

  14. Bahamas: The Bahamas are very convenient to South Florida so I tend to sell a lot of Baha Mar and Atlantis. However, I think there are other destinations out there where pizza doesn’t cost $20 a slice!

  15. Turks And Caicos: The sand in Grace Bay is like nothing else — so white and powdery. This is a great destination for an celebratory stay…anniversaries, birthdays, anything really.

That is a wrap on my newsletters and countries sold in 2025! Stay tuned next week for my entirely arbitrary travel awards! Need to talk travel before then? Book a complimentary vacation consultation here.
