My Dream Trip: Around the World by Private Jet

But first…Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Travel Tuesday “Deals”

Remember there’s no such thing as a free lunch but…if you want to feel like you got a deal on travel, I’m posting all the Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Travel Tuesday deals that hit my inbox this month to my Facebook business page. Follow for more…

Now…Do you want to know what my dream trip is?

It’s an around-the-world trip by private jet.

At every travel conference I go to, these partners are the ones I spend the most time with. I’m just so in love with their itineraries and what they do!

I’m picturing…breakfast overlooking the Taj Mahal. Lunch somewhere over the Arabian Sea. Dinner in the Serengeti. Nobody asking me for a passport at a counter. Nearly impossible chance of my suitcase going missing mid-trip.

Me and about 12 to 50 other travelers on a custom-fitted plane, with a chef, a doctor, and a team that handles every hotel, guide, transfer, and visa for two to four weeks.

These trips aren’t cheap! I won’t pretend they are. But for a certain kind of traveler, the one with a long bucket list and no interest in spending a year planning it, these journeys are seriously the most efficient way to see the world that I know of.

Here are the programs I’d look at for 2027, and what each one does best. (Forewarned…availability is low for 2027. This is the type of trip best planned a year or more out.)

Four Seasons Private Jet

The best known of the lot, and for good reason. Forty-eight guests, an Airbus A321 with flatbed seats, and every single night at a Four Seasons property. If you already love the brand, you are going to love this. You’ll know exactly what you’re getting in Kyoto, in Marrakech, in Bali.

The 2027 lineup includes:

  • Asia Unveiled (Feb. 11–26): 16 days, heavy on food. A sushi class in Tokyo after shopping Tsukiji Outer Market with a Michelin-starred chef. From $167,000 per person.

  • Timeless Encounters (Apr. 15–May 6): the original Four Seasons around-the-world route, with London, Prague, Dubai, and the Taj Mahal. From $235,000.

  • World of Adventures (Aug. 10–Sep. 2): Kyoto, Bali, the Seychelles, gorillas in Rwanda, Marrakech, and the Galápagos. Already limited availability.

A tip most people miss: the trip starts in a gateway city, and you still have to get there. Some of these begin or end in Los Angeles. I book clients into Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills before departure. As a Four Seasons Preferred Partner, I can add daily breakfast, a $100 hotel credit, and a room upgrade when available. Add VIP arrival service at LAX and a vetted private driver, and you board the jet already rested. Ask me about a Four Seasons jet departure.

Abercrombie & Kent

If Four Seasons is about polish, A&K is about access. After-hours entry at landmarks, conversations with people you’d never get near on your own, wildlife you have to work to reach. A&K fly a chartered Boeing 757 with 50 lie-flat seats.

For 2027:

  • Africa: Across a Continent (Feb. 4–25): Tunisia, Rwanda, South Africa, Botswana, and Morocco in 22 days.

  • Epic Islands and Landscapes (May 1–26): the Galápagos, Easter Island, the Cook Islands, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Sicily. From $189,500.

  • Wild Wonders (Sep. 4–29): eight ecosystems, including kayaking Costa Rica’s Tortuguero. From $189,500.

  • Hidden Horizons with Geoffrey Kent (Oct. 14–Nov. 8): designed and hosted by A&K’s founder himself, from the Azores to Kazakhstan. From $198,500.

And for 2028, A&K’s first trip to all seven continents departs January 3.

Here’s a tip for you: A&K’s Small Jet Journeys. These are 12 or 13 guests on a smaller plane, one region at a time: China, India, Italy, Spain and Morocco, Australia, Wild Canada. The small group gets you into hotels the big jets can’t use, like Fogo Island Inn and Gorilla Forest Lodge. China by Private Jet is 12 days from $47,995 per person. That’s the smartest way into this whole category, if you ask me.

TCS World Travel

This is the company almost nobody has heard of, and they’re behind a huge share of this whole category. TCS has been running private jet trips for about three decades. They operate and sell the Four Seasons jet. They also run their own trips under their own name.

Their planes carry up to 52 guests, with a staff and crew of 18, including a chef and a physician. Everything is included: flights, hotels, ground transport, meals, guides, and the special events.

Where TCS stands out is the route. Their 2027 trip, A World Less Traveled (Jan. 25–Feb. 11), starts in London and goes to AlUla in Saudi Arabia, Tangier and the Blue City of Chefchaouen, Dakar, Salvador in Brazil, Bolivia’s Uyuni Salt Flat, Quito, and Washington, D.C. That is not the usual bucket list, and that’s what I like about it. This is the one for the traveler who’s already done the Taj Mahal.

National Geographic Expeditions

Nat Geo’s angle is the people who come along. You travel with their experts, researchers, and photographers, so the trip feels a bit like the magazine came to life. This is a good fit for curious travelers who want to understand what they’re looking at, not just see it.

For 2027:

  • Around the World by Private Jet (Jan. 1 or Mar. 30): Easter Island, Bhutan, the Taj Mahal, the Serengeti.

  • Oceans and Islands of the World (Jan. 31): wildlife across the Pacific and Indian Oceans.

  • Jewels of the Pacific Rim (Feb. 25): starting at the Panama Canal, with Palau’s Rock Islands along the way.

  • Wildlife of the World and The Silk Road, plus a new Atlantic Crossroads trip from Dublin to Madeira and beyond.

Returning Nat Geo jet travelers can save up to $2,500 per person when they book by December 31. Let me check which departure fits your dates.

Aman Jet Expeditions

The smallest and quietest of the group trips. Just 18 guests, every night at an Aman. Past trips have strung together Aman Tokyo, the Amankora lodges in Bhutan, and Amanzoe in Greece in a single journey.

There are five departures for 2027, and pricing sits at the very top of the market, roughly $199,000 per person. If 48 fellow travelers sounds like a crowd to you, this smaller group journey is your trip.

Before You Book

A few things I tell every client who asks about these trips.

The pace is fast. Two or three nights per stop, sometimes less. It’s thrilling, and it’s a lot. If you fall in love with Kyoto, you still leave on Thursday.

Book a year or more out. These sell out early, and waitlists are common.

Pick by the hotels and the company you want to keep. Four Seasons if you want the same polish every night. A&K for access. TCS for unusual routes. Nat Geo for the experts. Aman for the smallest group.

Build in time on your own. This is where I come in! Private touring is my specialty, and the days before and after a jet journey are perfect for it. Arrive in London three days early for private access to the places the group won’t get to. Or finish in Marrakech and stay on with a guide of your own. I build those extensions around your pace and interests, with a vetted private driver and VIP airport service at both ends, so the bookends feel as easy as the jet.

Whichever trip you choose, I handle all of it: the right departure, the hotels before and after, the private extensions, the drivers, and the VIP meet-and-greet when you land. You just show up with your passport.

If one of these trips has been sitting on your list, let’s talk about it.
