When you book through a Hyatt Privé travel agent, your reservation is flagged for VIP treatment, with amenities and upgrades that online bookings or direct reservations simply can’t provide.

What’s the Difference Between Hyatt Privé and World of Hyatt?
Even if you're a World of Hyatt elite member, Hyatt Privé offers additional perks that are often better than what you get with points or status—especially on short stays.
The biggest differences:
And yes—you can earn points and elite night credits even when booking through Hyatt Privé. It’s the best of both worlds. You can combine your benefits and mine in one booking.
What Are Hyatt Privé Rates — and Are They Actually Better?
This is one of the most common questions I get, so let me be direct about it.
Hyatt Privé rates are not always the cheapest rate in the room. What they are is the best value rate — because the published Hyatt Privé rate comes bundled with perks worth $200–$400 per stay that you simply cannot access any other way.
Here's how it works in practice. When I book you into a Park Hyatt or Andaz through Hyatt Privé, the rate I access is typically the Best Available Rate — the same rate you'd find on Hyatt.com — but layered on top of it are the Privé amenities: confirmed room upgrade, full breakfast for two, $100 property credit, early check-in, late check-out, and a welcome amenity. Those perks don't appear in the rate itself. They're applied to your reservation at the property level, flagged as a Privé booking.
On a three-night stay at, say, the Park Hyatt New York or the Andaz Maui, that breakfast for two alone can be worth $150–$200. Add the $100 credit and the upgrade, and you're looking at $300–$400 in real value on top of a rate that matches what you'd pay booking direct.
One important nuance: Hyatt Privé rates are not points redemption rates. If you want to burn World of Hyatt points for a free night, you'll book that directly with Hyatt. But here's what most people don't realize — you can often combine a Privé booking for part of your stay with a points redemption for another night, or stack Privé perks on top of existing World of Hyatt elite status benefits. I help my clients figure out exactly which combination gets them the most value.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Hyatt Privé travel agent?
A Hyatt Privé travel agent is part of an exclusive network of luxury agents selected by Hyatt. Booking with a Privé advisor unlocks exclusive perks like upgrades, breakfast, and credits.
Is there a fee to book with a Hyatt Privé travel agent?
Nope! You’ll pay the same rate (or better), and gain hundreds of dollars in added value through amenities.
Do I still earn Hyatt points when I book through Privé?
Yes! You earn points and elite qualifying nights, just like you would booking directly with Hyatt.
Does my Amex Platinum card give me Hyatt Privé access?
No — Amex Platinum gives you access to the Fine Hotels + Resorts (FHR) program, which has similar perks but applies to a different portfolio of properties. Hyatt Privé is a separate program available only through vetted travel advisors like me. The good news: at many Hyatt properties, Privé and FHR benefits are comparable — and in some cases Privé is better, particularly on rate flexibility and cancellation terms.
Do I need a Hyatt Privé login or account?
No. You don't need any special account or login. I handle the Privé booking entirely on my end. You simply tell me which Hyatt property you're interested in, I check availability and rates, and I book it with your Privé perks attached. You'll receive a standard hotel confirmation, and the property's team will have your VIP notes on file before you arrive.
Can I earn World of Hyatt points on a Privé booking?
Yes — this is one of the best things about Hyatt Privé. Unlike some hotel programs where advisor bookings don't earn points, Hyatt Privé bookings are fully eligible for World of Hyatt points and elite night credits. You get the perks and the points.
Is Hyatt Privé better than World of Hyatt status?
For most people—yes. Hyatt Privé offers VIP treatment and guaranteed perks without needing to chase elite status or book long stays.
