I strongly recommend travel insurance. You can read more about Royal Caribbean’s insurance here.
Travel insurance will cover you in case you need to cancel your cruise or in case someone needs to seek medical care in Mexico. It is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
Normally when something goes wrong, I’m the first person people call. I am limited in my ability to help you if you do not have insurance.
Your US travel insurance will not cover you outside the US. Additionally, credit card insurance does not include medical insurance.
